Praying In The Power of The Holy Spirit, Part II – House Cleaning
When I was growing up my parents always made a big deal of the first week of April. Beginning with the 1st Dad was constantly playing April fool’s jokes on us and it was great fun. On the 2nd I was served pancakes for breakfast with all the syrup any kid could ever want. Special treats daily would continue through the 7th which was my birthday. Life changed very drastically the next day. No longer was it all about me. On the 8th began the “seven days of Spring Cleaning.” Mom and Dad insisted our house be super clean throughout spring, summer, and fall as there was always special guests stopping by to visit. For seven grueling days we cleaned a room a day. Everything out, everything thoroughly scrubbed, and everything put back orderly.
