ESPECIALLY TAILORED FOR OUR YOUNGEST MEMBERS

First Baptist Church has a vibrant nursery program while the Mommies and Daddies are attending church worship service or other exciting events.

The nursery staff always enjoy educating and caring for the youngest members of our congregation. It is their great pleasure to help them learn right from wrong and to grow in their knowledge of our Christian faith.

THE CLASS PROGRAM

A typical class contains getting the children all settled and ready and then leading off with prayer. We then begin to read a Bible story and color a wonderful picture related to the story./ Following the Bible Story, it is time for a nutritional snack. This is followed by craft time in which any number of crafts can be made, such as Word Searches, dot to dots, search and find to name just a few.

NEW STUDENTS AND SAFETY

All new students must have their parents or guardian complete the “All About Me” forms which informs all the nursery volunteers of any concerns or allergies the children may have.

CORI checks are done on all nursery volunteers.

No child is dismissed from class unless that child’s parents or guardian comes to the classroom and personally claims their child. We’re very strict about this.

All nursery toys are cleaned and disinfected annually especially during the flu season.

The nursery is located in one of the church basement classrooms.

A Quarterly Schedule is posted for everyone in the basement as well.

Dates will be posted under weekly events as they become available.
