Why Give Back to God?
Giving our tithes and offerings reflects a grateful heart that wants to give back to God a portion of what He has given us; in reality, what is already His. This is our opportunity to show God that He is first in our lives. The Bible says, The purpose of tithing is to teach you always to put God first in your lives (Deuteronomy 15:10). Tithing is a reminder that God is the supplier of everything we have. It is also God’s personal invitation to an outpouring of his blessing in your life.
Four reasons to give back to God
Giving is a Reflection of the Heart:
Matthew 6:20-21 “Store up for yourselves treasures in heaven… For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
What’s the most important thing to you? We see the way our culture encourages us to store up treasures on earth and exalts materialism to the point where debt has become acceptable. We can probably even recognize that truth by looking at our own checkbooks. As Christ-followers, however, we are called to free ourselves from the bondage of debt so that our resources are available for His purposes.
Faith Funds are those designated funds for special church programs and projects. This fund is separate from the General Fund and is used to pay the expenses of said church programFaith Offering

Donations to the church's General Fund is where all of the church's undesignated income is accounted for and out of this fund most of a church's expenses are paid.General Offering
Giving is a Reflection of Priorities:
Long before tithing was a practice of the Israelite people, Cain and Abel, the 2nd generation of the human race, brought an offering to the Lord. Abel brought the “firstborn of his flock,” while Cain brought “some of the fruits of the soil.” The Lord blessed Abel’s offering, but rejected Cain’s. God wants to be first in our lives.
Deuteronomy 16:17 “Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee.”
Giving is a Privilege:
The 1st Century church modeled for us what it means to give generously and joyfully so that more and more people could find their way back to God.
“Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.”
Giving is a Blessing:
God uses the tithe as an investment where everyone involved gets a return. If we are blessed beyond our needs, it is not for the purpose of living more lavishly but to bless others. The church and the kingdom are blessed, and yet God’s nature is to also bless the giver. 2-Corinthians 9:6
Malachi 3:10 “‘Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,’ says the LORD Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.’”
The Missions Fund are those monies designated to the church's Missionary outreach the church does, whether it be local or global. This designated fund is separate from the General Fund.Missions Offering
General Funds are those designated funds the Giver specifies for certain projects, programs, etc outside of what is supported in the Faith Funds.General Funds Offering
Donations to the church's Tithing Fund is an accounting mechanism whereby friends and members have pledged to donate 10% of their income. All monies received through this designation are entered into the church's General Fund.Tithes

Our offerings are an act of worship. The offering during the worship service provides believers the opportunity to respond in gratitude to the grace, love, and mercy of God and to put their faith and trust in the Lord into action. The offering to God each Sunday is an act of worship just like confessing the Creed, singing the hymns, hearing the sermon, and engaging in prayer.
“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” Luke:6:38
“It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35).
FBC DESIGNATION REQUESTS
It is important to note that FBC tries to honor all designation requests; however, Not For Profits laws state that gifts given to a non-profit organization are not bound by such designations and are to use donated funds in the best interest of the not-for-profit institution. In the over 280+ years FBC has existed, they have always been able to honor such requests.
The pandemic has caused severe financial burdens on small churches due to the fact there has been no attendance.
Unfortunately the churches bills must still be paid.
Budget for the year 2021 is $102,198.00.
$8,516.50 is needed every month to meet our needs. Your donations are highly appreciated. God Bless You!
We ask each and every one of our faithful congregation to please pray to the Lord and ask how much you should give to assist our finances.
